Green Mountain Twigs Warranty & Return Policy
At Green Mountain Twigs, every shaft is handcrafted in Vermont from carefully selected hardwood. Each one is individually shaped, finished, and inspected before it leaves our shop. We build our products to be played, appreciated, and built to last.
Wood is a natural material, and no two shafts are exactly alike. While we take great care in selecting our lumber and crafting every shaft, the natural character of wood means that each piece is unique.
If you ever have a question or concern about your purchase, please reach out. We stand behind our work and will always do our best to make things right.

Returns
Because every Green Mountain Twigs shaft is handcrafted and individually inspected, we generally do not accept returns or exchanges due to buyer’s remorse, preference, or normal variations in the natural appearance of the wood.
If your order arrives damaged, you receive the wrong item, or you believe your shaft has a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We’ll work with you to make it right.
Custom engraved or personalized shafts are made specifically for you and cannot be returned or exchanged except in the case of shipping damage or a verified manufacturing defect.
If a return is approved, the item must be unused, unmodified, and in its original condition. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless the return is the result of our error or a verified manufacturing defect.
Please review all engraving text carefully before placing your order. Green Mountain Twigs is not responsible for customer-submitted spelling, punctuation, capitalization, or formatting errors.

The Nature of Wood
Every Green Mountain Twigs shaft is crafted from genuine hardwood. Unlike aluminum or composite materials, wood is a living, natural material with unique grain patterns, color variation, density, and character.
Despite our careful material selection and craftsmanship, natural wood may occasionally develop minor movement, checking, or other naturally occurring characteristics over time. These natural variations are not considered manufacturing defects and are part of what makes every Green Mountain Twigs shaft one of a kind.
Every shaft is carefully inspected before shipment. If you believe your shaft has experienced a genuine defect in materials or workmanship, please contact us. We’ll evaluate every situation individually and work toward a fair solution.
⸻
One-Year Craftsmanship Warranty
We proudly stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship.
If your shaft fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship within one year of the original purchase date, Green Mountain Twigs will repair or replace the shaft, at our discretion, at no cost to you.
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal cosmetic wear
- Surface scratches, dents, or finish wear from regular use
- Damage caused by improper installation
- Modifications or repairs performed after purchase
- Damage caused by excessive moisture, extreme temperatures, or improper storage
- Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, or use outside the intended purpose of the product
To process a warranty claim, we may request photographs of the damage and may require the original shaft to be returned for inspection before issuing a replacement.

Lifetime Legal Play Guarantee
This guarantee reflects our confidence in our craftsmanship and our respect for the game.
If your Green Mountain Twigs shaft breaks during legal lacrosse play, we’ll replace it free of charge—for the lifetime of the original owner.
To help us evaluate your claim, we may request:
- Photos of the broken shaft.
- A description of how the break occurred.
- Video showing the break occurred during legal play (when available or when needed to verify a claim).
- Return of the broken shaft so we can inspect it and continue improving our products.
This guarantee is intended to cover genuine equipment failure during honest competition and normal play. It does not apply to damage resulting from:
- Illegal checks or slashes.
- Intentional abuse or attempts to break the shaft.
- Striking goal posts, benches, walls, the ground, or other hard objects outside the normal course of play.
- Throwing or intentionally mishandling equipment.
- Alterations or modifications made after purchase.
Every claim is reviewed individually. Green Mountain Twigs reserves the right to determine eligibility for replacement based on the available information and inspection of the returned shaft.
We created this guarantee because we believe our shafts belong on the field—not on a shelf. We hope you never need it, but if you do, we’ll do everything we can to get another handcrafted Vermont twig back in your hands.
