Installation Instructions
Shaft Installation Guide
Each shaft is designed to be compatible with standard lacrosse heads across major manufacturers. Because head designs vary in how mounting holes are positioned, a precise fit is best achieved at the time of installation.
What’s included
Each shaft comes with:
- (1) 7/64” drill bit
- (2) #8 × 5/8” mounting screws
These are intended for final head installation.
⸻
Before you begin
Check shaft length first
If you need to shorten your shaft, do so before attaching the head.
Always cut from the top (non-butt end) to maintain proper fit and balance.
Take your time and ensure the cut is square for best performance.
⸻
Installing your head
- Slide your lacrosse head onto the shaft and align it in your preferred position.
- Hold the head firmly in place and confirm alignment.
- Using the included 7/64” drill bit, carefully drill pilot hole through the head’s mounting hole and into the shaft.
- Go slowly and keep the drill straight
- Do not over-penetrate deeper than necessary
- Insert the provided #8 screw and tighten until snug.
- Do not overtighten
- Snug + secure is sufficient for a solid hold in hardwood
⸻
Notes on fit
- Different manufacturers position mounting holes differently—this is expected.
- The pilot-hole method ensures a tight, custom fit every time.
- If you ever replace the head, you may need to re-drill a new pilot hole.
